Dr. Fazlul Hoque graduated (MBBS) in 1981 from Rajshahi Medical College and the joined in government services in Bangladesh. He received his Diploma in Orthopedic surgery in 1990 from the University of Vienna Austria and achieved specialization in orthopedics surgery (Facharzt).
He completed Fellowship of Austrian Medical Association (FAMA and worked as a research Fellow in Spine at A. I. DuPont Institute at Wilmington, Delaware, USA. Later Dr. Fazlul Hoque joined in Centre for the Rehabilitation of Paralyzed (CRP), Savar, Dhaka. He worked at CRP about 13 years as a Consultant, Orthopedics & Spine Surgery which was followed to as Medical Director.
He holds wide range of experiences for the management of deformity of the foot like TEV and has international publication on surgical management of club foot. He is proficient in performing anterior decompression and stabilization of the spinal column, spinal injury and advance spinal tuberculosis, correction of the spinal deformity and spondylolisthesis. With his long experience in Spine he becomes an international faculty in Spinal Cord injury (SCI) and at present he is the Vice President of International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS). He is the founder chairman and executive member of Asian Spinal Cord Society Network (ASCoN).
As a Chairman or Presenter of Scientific Paper he attended more than thirty international scientific conferences. He has a good number of publications on Orthopedics, Spinal injury and Telemedicine. Dr. Hoque received an international award ‘Lar Gullivan Award’ for best presentation adhering to the idea of comprehensive system care of spinal cord injuries.
